Project 365 week 2
First full week back after work after Christmas and the children have gone back to school now too. You can read my Project 365 week 1 post here if you want to catch up on last week.
Day 1
Lily and I started a Paddington Bear in London puzzle. We chose a 500 piece Gibson puzzle and the Paddington Bear in London detailing is beautiful. As big Paddington fans, The Paddington Bear Experience is also on our list of things to do!
Day 2
A nice morning cup of honey and warm water and I am loving the photographic styling of this shot!
Day 3
A very cold and frosty start to the day! We went to a 2nd birthday party today and the kids absolutely loved the bouncy castle they wore themselves out on it for hours!
Day 4
The Duolingo obsession continues! Up to level 18 in Spanish and level 30 in French. 75 day streak but I did the tests to jump ahead in French as I had B in GCSE’s and a recent trip to France that brought it all flooding back! We are going to Spain in July so I am going to focus on Spanish for now.
Day 5
The Paddington Bear in London puzzle is finished!
Day 6
Wearing one of my favourite jumpers as it’s so cold today and it reminds me of our family holiday in Disneyland Paris!
Day 7
Feeling good about finally fitting into my size 14 jeans! It has taken me 6 years to lose the baby weight from my littlest bear but slow progress has definitely seemed the better plan long term as I have been able to keep the weight off. It was a tough battle after having gestational diabetes.

Well done on the jeans achievement. I’m still trying after nearly 14 years! Got there a few times, then it all goes on again. This time, I’ve got just under 2 years when I’m 50, although I’ve a wedding to go to in August, so would like to shift quite a lot by summer this year. That puzzle is so cute – the Gibson ones are such good quality.

Its not been easy – has taken 6 years! Hopefully you can reach your summer wedding guest target 🙂

That puzzle looks so cute and I am a big Paddington fan too.
Ahh! I need to get back into Duolingo, I was doing so well with French. x

Take this as your sign to log back in 🙂

I love the Paddington puzzle! I often opt for 500-piece jigsaws over 1000-piece ones as I like to put them together quickly.
Well done on your Duo Lingo streak. My husband and daughter have been learning Japanese since last year and have even made revision cards for themselves to use with the app.
Have a lovely week ahead.

Japanese wow that is so completely different to ours must be more difficult to learn! I’ve bought some flashcards off amazon to try and use too but not actually opened them yet…

What a lovely jigsaw puzzle! I miss doing puzzles, but sadly haven’t had a chance to enjoy any in the last couple of years. They are so therapeutical.
Very cute jumper. I stopped doing Duolingo after two years, I got fed up with leaderboards and couldn’t leave them, as my settings were messed up. Their support is useless. At the same time, I do miss daily lessons (I did Italian and French).
ALondonDay
I don’t take any notice of the leaderboards I just try and focus on learning some daily, although I do wish some of the conversations on there made a bit more sense than my dog has a purple dress haha

I like the Paddington Bear puzzle. Well done on your Duolingo streak and on finally fitting into your size 14 jeans. My youngest is 6 and I’m not sure I’ll ever fit back into the pre-baby clothes from before his arrival. #project365

Thanks it did take a solid 6 years to be fair!

Well done with the weight loss, it’s a great feeling to get in those jeans isn’t it. The Paddington puzzle does look a great one, it’s been a while since I’ve done a puzzle, I’ve got a couple from the covid days, still wrapped up I should get out, the dining room table doesn’t get used much these days. My classroom is sandwiched between the French and Spanish rooms, you’d think after a term now I’d have learnt more than just the contents of a pencil case in both languages through the walls, but nope. I need to get back on Duolingo, I do enjoy French more.
ALondonDay
That’s so funny I’d be ear wigging all day!
